Pune: Symbiosis Skills and Professional University to Host National-Level Robotics Festival ‘Kurukshetra 2026’ This Week
Pune, 19th January 2026: Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU), recently ranked No. 1 in India in the NIRF Skill Universities category, is set to host “Kurukshetra 2026,” a premier national-level robotics and technical festival. The three-day event is scheduled to take place from January 22nd to 24th, 2026, at the university’s Kiwale campus.
Organized by the School of Mechatronics Engineering, the festival is being spearheaded by Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor of SSPU. The event aims to provide a vibrant platform for students from across the nation to demonstrate engineering excellence, technological creativity, and innovation.
High-Octane Competitions
Kurukshetra 2026 promises an action-packed schedule featuring a variety of technical challenges. Key attractions include:
- Robowars: Featuring combat in 15 kg, 8 kg, and Beetleweight categories.
- Tactical Challenges: Robo Soccer, Robo Line Follower, Robo Off-Road Race, and Robo Wrestling.
- Knowledge Sharing: The festival will also host expert talks, project exhibitions, and interactive sessions.
Participants and visitors will experience SSPU’s state-of-the-art campus, which boasts advanced laboratories and industry-oriented infrastructure. The event will offer certificates, prizes, and significant networking opportunities, alongside food stalls to keep the energy high.
