Pune: Teenager Dies in Tragic Electrical Accident while Removing Flex on Electricity Pole
Pune, 17th July 2023: A devastating electrical accident claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy, Ankush Khandu Bansode, yesterday while undergoing treatment.
The incident occurred on April 24 at 1:45 pm when Ankush climbed an electricity pole to remove a flex near Anand Park bus stand under the Vadgaon Sheri subdivision. Despite receiving immediate medical attention, Ankush tragically succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Sunday, July 16.

In response to this tragic incident, the Electricity Inspectorate Department of Maharashtra State Government has conducted a thorough investigation at the scene. MSEDCL, the state electricity distribution company, is awaiting the report from the department. Once the report is received, appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with the established rules and regulations, MSEDCL stated in a press release.
