Pune: This year’s ‘Gaanatapaswini Mogubai Kurdikar’ Award to Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt
Pune, February 19, 2024: Given on behalf of Natyasampada Pratishthan, this year’s ‘Gaanatapaswini Mogubai Kurdikar’ Award will be conferred upon the Grammy Award winner, Padma Bhushan Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of music.
Recognizing their roles in the field of music accompaniment, the veteran Tabla Player Pt. Nana Mule from Mumbai, and Pt. Ranga Pai from Manipal will each be bestowed upon with this year’s ‘Gaanasaraswati Kishori Amonkar Sangatkar’ Award, informed Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, Trustee of Natyasampada Pratishthan and a renowned Vocalist.
The trio of Abhay Nayampally, Manas Kumar, and Ishaan Ghosh will each be awarded this year’s ‘Gaanasaraswati Kishori Amonkar Yuva Puraskar’ presented by Belvalkar Group, in recognition of their immense talent and potential in the field of music.
This will be the eighth edition of the awards and will be presented during the 10th Edition of ‘Gaanasaraswati Mahotsav’ which will be held in the city from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th February 2024 at Mahalaxmi Lawns, Karve Nagar, near Rajaram Bridge.
The award for ‘Gaanatapaswini Mogubai Kurdikar Purasakar’ will be in the form of cash of Rs 51,000 and a citation, while the award for ‘Gaanasaraswati Kishori Amonkar Sangatkar Purasakar’ will be in the form of cash of Rs 25,000 and a citation. The ‘Gaanasaraswati Kishori Amonkar Yuva Puraskar’ presented by Belvalkar Group, will be in the form of cash of Rs. 15,000 and a memento.
