Pune: Three Head TTEs Applauded By Divisional Railway Manager For Their Humanitarian Work
Pune, 18th November 2022: Along with their regular duties, the employees of Pune Railway Division continue to assist passengers and help them recover their lost items.
According to the release issued by Manoj Jhanwar, Public Relations Officer of Pune Division, Pune’s Head TTE Y.P. Kurhade and R.N. Katkar were on duty in train No. 11030 Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyna Express from Kolhapur to Pune when they were informed by a passenger that a passenger was lying unconscious in the passage of the coach. Hearing this, both the TTEs immediately reached the unconscious passenger and helped him to regain consciousness. They provided him with water and biscuits and took him to the seat.
A few days ago Sandeep Kumar Arjun Mali, Head TTE/Miraj was on duty in train number 17318 Dadar-Hubli Express from Pune to Miraj. While checking the tickets of the passengers, he found a gold mangal sutra on a berth of the sleeper coach. On inquiry with the passengers in the coach, it was found that the passenger of the said berth got down at Sangli station. Hearing this Kumar immediately informed the Sangli station master that if any passenger inquires at the station for the said jewelry, they should contact him. After the train reached Miraj, Kumar traced the mobile number from the PNR of the said female passenger and informed her to come to Miraj station to get back the gold ornaments. After proper verification, the ornament was returned to the passenger in the presence of CTI/Miraj.
The woman expressed her gratitude and thanked the railway administration.
For the above-said work, Divisional Railway Manager Renu Sharma honored all three Head TTEs. She said that this work done by the employees is highly commendable and that Pune Railway Division is proud of them for their humane and honest work. Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijeshkumar Singh and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirve were also present on the occasion.
