Pune to Kolhapur, Solapur to LTT: Central Railway Special Trains Extended Till September

Pune, 24th June 2025: In a move aimed at accommodating increased passenger demand, Central Railway has announced an extension in the periodicity of several special train services across Maharashtra and neighbouring states. These extensions, effective from July 1 to September 30, 2025, include both reserved and unreserved trains running on daily and weekly schedules.

Here are the details of the extended services:

1. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Solapur Weekly Special (Train No. 01436/01435):

Earlier scheduled to run till June 25, the service will now continue from July 2 to October 1, 2025 (14 additional trips).

The return service from Solapur to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus has also been extended from July 1 to September 30, 2025 (14 additional trips).

2. Solapur – Daund Unreserved Daily Special (Train No. 01461/01462):

The daily unreserved train service, previously set to end on June 30, will now run from July 1 to September 30, 2025 (92 additional trips in each direction).

3. Solapur – Kalaburagi Unreserved Daily Special (Train No. 01465/01466):

Extended for the same period, from July 1 to September 30, 2025, with 92 trips each way.

4. Pune – Kolhapur Daily Special (Train No. 01023/01024):

The Pune to Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus (Kolhapur) special will continue till September 30, 2025, from July 1 onwards.

The return train (01024), originally scheduled till June 27, will also operate from July 1 to September 30 (92 trips each direction).

5. Badnera – Nashik Road Unreserved Daily Special (Train No. 01211/01212):

This daily unreserved service will be extended from July 1 to September 30, 2025 (92 trips in each direction).

6. Pune – Harangul Daily Special (Train No. 01487/01488):

These daily trains, earlier notified to end in June, will now run till September 30, 2025 (92 trips each way).

No Change in Timings, Halts, or Composition
Central Railway clarified that the extended services will maintain their current timetable, halt stations, and coach configurations.

Reservation Details
Bookings for extended trips of reserved special trains (01435, 01436, 01023, 01024, 01487, and 01488) will open on June 26, 2025, at all computerised reservation centres and online via www.irctc.co.in. These trains will continue to run on special charges.
