Pune Traders To Open Shops Till 7 PM From Wednesday: Fatehchand Ranka

Pune, 1st August 2021: Even after repeated demands, the Maharashtra state government has not taken any decision to allow shops to remain open till 8 pm. Therefore, traders will organise a protest on Tuesday and from Wednesday, they will open shops till 7 pm, informed Fatehchand Ranka, president of the Federation of Traders Associations of Pune (FATP).

 

During a press conference today, Ranka said, “Coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases have now come down in Pune. We had asked to allow us to keep our shops open till 8 pm but it has been 15 days since we made our demand but no decision has been taken yet.”

 

“On Tuesday (3 August), all the traders in markets across Pune city will participate in ‘Ghantanaad aandolan’ outside their shops between 12 pm to 12:15 pm. If at all no decision is taken till Tuesday evening them we will forcefully keep our shops open till 7 pm from Wednesday onwards”, he further added.
