Pune: Traffic Changes Announced Near Yerawada’s Shastri Nagar Chowk for Ongoing Construction Work
Yerawada, 13th December 2024: As work continues near Shastri Nagar Chowk in Pune’s Yerawada, where a grade separator and flyover are being built, boreholes are being installed for soil investigation from 12th to 16th December. To avoid major inconvenience on this busy route, the Pune City Police Commissionerate’s Traffic Branch has announced some traffic changes. Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, in charge of the Traffic Branch, has issued the orders regarding these changes.
The changes are as follows:
Heavy Vehicles Restriction:
All types of heavy vehicles are not allowed from Shastri Nagar Chowk to Golf Club Chowk. The alternate route is Shastri Nagar Chowk – Gunjan Chowk – Purnkuti Chowk – Mahatma Gandhi Garden Chowk – Tarkeshwar Chowk, then a left turn towards Sadal Baba Chowk, and onwards to the desired destination.
Four-Wheelers Route Adjustment:
Four-wheelers travelling from Shastri Nagar Chowk to Golf Club Chowk will go towards Gunjan Chowk, then turn right towards Golf Club Chowk, and proceed to their destination.
Parking Restrictions:
A No Parking and No Halting Zone has been implemented from Shastri Nagar to Golf Club Chowk for 200 meters.
DCP (Traffic) Amol Zende has urged everyone to use alternative routes and cooperate with the police.
