Pune: Traffic Diversion At Chandni chowk Due To Flyover Construction Work
Bavdhan, 6th March 2021: Traffic will be diverted at Chandni chowk as a pillar is to be constructed for the flyover, traffic police have informed.
According to the Hinjawadi traffic division under Pimpri Chinchwad police, the service road towards Kothrud and Satara road will be closed for traffic.
DCP (traffic) Sudhir Hiremath said that the vehicles coming from Bhugaon, NDA, and Kothrud will have to turn left from Hotel Viva Inn on Pashan road. Similarly, vehicles coming from Pashan, Bavdhan area can’t use the bridge at Chandni chowk. They would need to turn right near Hotel Viva Inn to reach the highway for going towards Kothrud/Satara.
“This traffic route change will be functional till further order, and people are requested to cooperate with traffic police,” states the notification from the traffic police.
A two-storey flyover will be constructed in Chandni Chowk to alleviate traffic congestion in the area including Chandni Chowk, Kothrud, Warje, and Baner. The bridges will be linked to Mumbai, Satara, Mulshi, and Kothrud from Chandni Chowk.
