Pune: Traffic Diversion for Shri Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Death Anniversary Observance at Vadhu

Wagholi, 27th March 2025: In view of the Shri Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj death anniversary observance at Mouje Vadhu in Shirur taluka, the Pune district administration has announced traffic restrictions from 10 PM on March 28 to 10 AM on March 29.

District Collector and District Magistrate Jitendra Dudi has issued an order regulating the movement of heavy vehicles, including trucks and tempos, and prohibiting devotees’ vehicles from crossing the designated stoppage point.

According to the order, heavy traffic from Koregaon Bhima heading towards Chakan or Pabal via Vadhu will be rerouted through Koregaon Bhima-Sanaswadi-Shikrapur Gas Phata-Vajewadi Chauphula.

Similarly, heavy vehicles from Chakan or Pabal side, intending to travel towards Pune via Vadhu -Koregaon Bhima, will need to take an alternative route through Vajewadi Chauphula-Gas Phata-Shikrapur-Sanaswadi-Koregaon Bhima.

Additionally, vehicles carrying devotees from Koregaon Bhima side will not be allowed beyond the designated stoppage point near Maher Sanstha on the Koregaon Bhima-Vadhu road, as per the official directive.

These measures have been put in place to ensure smooth traffic management and the safety of devotees attending the event.
