Lonavala, 29th November 2023: President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit the Kaivalyadham Yoga Center in Lonavla on November 29 (Wednesday), where she will inaugurate an International Conference. The administration is geared up for the President’s visit, and meticulous arrangements have been put in place by the police department to ensure a smooth and secure event.

In preparation for the President’s arrival, a comprehensive security plan has been devised, and the police administration will manage the traffic on the route from INS Shivaji to Kaivalyadham Yoga Center. As a precautionary measure for the President’s safety, traffic on the highway will be partially restricted from 2 PM to 5 PM on the specified date, as per the order issued by Superintendent of Police (SP), Pune Rural, under section 36 of the Maharashtra Police Act.

To facilitate the flow of traffic, an alternative route plan has been devised. Vehicles coming from Pune side via the expressway will be directed to Mumbai via the expressway instead of Lonavla. Similarly, vehicles arriving from Pune via the old highway will be rerouted to Mumbai via the expressway from Kusgaon Toll Plaza. Traffic from Mumbai via the expressway will proceed directly to Pune without exiting at Khandala, while those using the Lonavala exit will be directed towards Pune.

Local vehicle owners in Lonavala city are advised not to bring their vehicles during the specified time to avoid any disruptions.

In the interest of public safety, the flying of drones, paragliding, and air balloons in and around Lonavla city has been temporarily banned during the President’s visit.

Assistant Superintendent of Police and Sub Divisional Police Officer, Satyasai Karthik, emphasized the importance of citizens cooperating with the police and urged the public to stay informed through local media for further updates.

The administration aims to ensure a secure and seamless event during the President’s visit to the Kaivalyadham Yoga Center in Lonavala.
