Two Cars Worth Rs 16 Lakh Stolen from Auto Dealer

Hadapsar, 3rd November 2025: A case of vehicle theft has been reported in Pune after two cars were stolen from a used car dealership located on the Solapur Highway in Manjari.

The Hadapsar Police have registered an FIR under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, based on a complaint filed by the car dealer.

According to FIR No. 0915/2025 registered at Hadapsar Police Station, the theft took place around 2:26 am on October 28 at Vihan Autos/Cars, situated at 15 Number Chowk, Pune-Solapur Highway, Manjari. The complainant, Rudaynath Hiraman Bhot (34), a resident of Pimple Saudagar, runs a car buying and selling business at the said location.

Bhot stated that two vehicles parked at his dealership premises were stolen by unidentified persons. The stolen cars are: White Hyundai Creta (2021 model) and Mahindra Scorpio S11 (2018 model). The total value of the stolen vehicles is estimated at ₹16 lakh.

The complainant discovered the theft later that day and immediately informed the police. The case was registered the same evening at 9:46 pm. Sub-Inspector Mahesh Bhagachand Kawale has been appointed as the investigating officer and has initiated a probe.

Police officials said they are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to track the movement of the suspects. Preliminary investigations suggest that the theft might have been executed by a professional gang, given the precision and timing of the act.

“We have registered a case and are analyzing CCTV footage from the area. Efforts are underway to trace the stolen vehicles and identify the accused,” a police official said.
