Pune: Two Dead, One Missing While Cleaning Septic Chamber In Wagholi
Pune, 21st October 2022: In a shocking turn of events in the Wagholi area of Pune city, two people have died while cleaning the septic chamber of a residential society, and another person is missing.
According to the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), in the early hours of the morning, while the work of the STP tank was going on, two workers fell into the tank and died. Locals claim that one worker is missing.
Two workers, Nitin Prabhakar Gond (45), a resident of Buldhana, and Satishkumar Chaudhary (35), a resident from Uttar Pradesh, have died in Solasia Society Phase-2, Wagholi, Pune. The search is ongoing for Ganesh Palekrao (28), a resident of Nanded. Gajanan Kurambatti, a contractor, fell into the tank while working around six am. Locals informed the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Wagholi fire station at seven am.
The fire brigade received information from the central officer of the fire brigade. Vijay Mahajan, Nitin Mane, Sandeep Shelke, Chetan Khamse, Mayur Gosavi, Tejas Dangre, Vikas Palve, Abhijit Darade, and Akshay Bagal immediately left for the spot. After tireless efforts, two dead persons have been pulled out, and the search for one person is on.
