Pune: Two Dismissed Employees Target Former Workplace, Assault Ex-Colleagues
Hadapsar, 15th December 2023: An incident has come to light in Pune’s Hadapsar area, where two disgruntled youths allegedly entered an office, vandalized property with sharp weapons, and physically assaulted employees following their dismissal from work.
The incident has prompted the registration of a case against the accused individuals, identified as Abhijit Chavan and Rohit Chavan, at the Hadapsar Police Station.
The accused individuals were formerly employed at a TVS showroom. Following their termination from employment, the two youths reportedly visited the office on Wednesday around 4:30 pm. The motive behind their actions appears to be retaliation for their dismissal.
Upon entering the office premises, the accused allegedly used iron sharp weapons to vandalize computers, printers, and other items in the prosecutor’s office. The destructive act was accompanied by physical assaults on the employees working in the office. The severity of the assault and the extent of damage caused to the property are yet to be disclosed.
In response to the incident, a case has been officially registered against Abhijit Chavan and Rohit Chavan at the Hadapsar Police Station. The charges likely include vandalism, assault, and any other offences associated with the attack on the office and its employees.
Hadapsar Police are investigating this matter further.
