Pune: Two Men Booked for Misbehaving with Women at Yerawada Pub
Yerawada, March 24, 2025: Yerawada Police have booked two men for allegedly pushing young women dancing at a pub and abusing a female bouncer who confronted them. The incident occurred on Saturday night at a pub inside a mall in the Yerawada area.
According to the police, the accused—Ganesh Dadabhau Ghawate, 34, and Yash Kotwal, both residents of Shirur taluka—were dancing on the pub’s dance floor when they pushed a woman. A female bouncer, who witnessed the act, asked them to move aside while dancing. In response, the accused verbally abused and misbehaved with her. Following the female bouncer’s complaint, the Yerawada police registered a case against the two men.
Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Kumar Shelke and Police Inspector (Crime) Pallavi Meher visited the scene, and the police have reviewed CCTV footage of the incident. The accused have been issued a notice, and Assistant Police Inspector Vishal Takle is investigating the case.
