Pune: Two minor boys detained for killing 21-year-old youth with swords in Karvenagar
Pune, 27th December 2021: The anti-extortion cell 1 of Pune city police has detained two minor boys for allegedly killing a 21-year-old with swords in Karvenagar on Sunday evening.
The boys told police that the deceased used to harass them, hence they killed him with the help of their accomplice. A case has been registered in this regard at Alankar police station.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Rajendra Jadhav (21) of Gosavi Vasti in Karvenagar.
According to the police, Anil had beaten up the accused as they had been arguing for the past few days. Later on Sunday, Anil snatched a gold chain from a minor accused and called him near a wine shop in Karvenagar. So the angry accused plotted to kill Anil. Around 5.30 pm, they attacked Anil with sharp weapons near Shakti Chowk resulting in his death.
After the murder, the juvenile accused fled to Pimpri-Chinchwad. Police Naik Rajendra Landage got the information that they would be coming to Chandni Chowk. Accordingly, a trap was laid and they were detained. They have been handed over to Alankar police station for further investigation.
“The minor boys told us that the deceased used to harass them for money for buying cigarettes, petrol etc and used to beat them, hence they planned to eliminate him”, said Police Inspector
The detection team included API Sandeep Buwa and police personnel Rajendra Landage, Prafulla Chavan, Nitin Rawal and Vijay Kamble.
