Pune: Two Minor Sisters Found Murdered In Rajgurunagar; Investigation Underway
Pune, 26th December 2024: In a horrific incident, the dismembered bodies of two minor sisters were discovered in a drum near a building in Rajgurunagar late Wednesday (24th December) night. The girls, identified as Durva Makwane and Karthiki Makwane, had gone missing earlier that afternoon while playing outside their home.
According to local sources, the parents of the two sisters began searching for them immediately after they went missing, enlisting the help of neighbors. Hours later, their worst fears came true when the mutilated bodies of the girls were found dumped in a drum on the outskirts of the city.
The police are investigating the motive behind the gruesome murder. Questions about whether the girls were sexually assaulted remain unanswered as authorities await the autopsy report. The bodies have been sent to Chandoli Rural Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The Rajgurunagar police have launched a thorough investigation to determine the events leading up to the murder and identify those responsible for the heinous crime.
