Pune: Two wine shops owners found COVID positive in Baner, Balewadi

Pune, May 23, 2020: The owners of two wine shops in Baner and Balewadi are detected with Coronavirus. 11 of their employees have been quarantined, while the work of tracing their close contacts and customers who visited the shops is going on, officials from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) said. Few days ago a pregnant woman in Baner was detected with Coronavirus and her housing society has been sealed.

 

Yesterday 291 new COVID19 patients were detected in PMC limit. This is the highest number of patients found in a single day to date. As a result, the total number of patients in Pune city has reached 4398. Also 14 patients died during treatment, taking the total death toll in the city to 241. Also, 189 patients undergoing treatment were re-tested for corona. All of them discharged from hospitals after their report was negative. 2371 patients have been cured till now.

 

In Pimpri-Chinchwad, a total of 21 people tested positive for Coronavirus yesterday, while eight people were discharged from hospital. The total number of COVID patients has gone up to 274 out of which 161 have been cured while seven have died. There are still 106 active patients. The new patients were detected in Chikhali, Bhosari, Anandnagar (Chinchwad), Rahatani, Kalewadi, Dapodi, Kudalwadi (Chikhali) and Bijlinagar.
