Pune University Directs Departments to Display Course and Fee Details for Transparency
Pune, 17th May 2025: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has issued a circular directing all its academic departments to display detailed information about available courses and their respective fee structures to assist students and parents during the ongoing admission season.
Dr. M. V. Rasave, Deputy Registrar of the university, issued the directive as undergraduate and postgraduate admissions are currently underway. With the recent announcement of Class 12 results, the university has seen a surge in footfall from students and parents seeking course-related information. However, many leave without receiving clear guidance on course options and fees.
To address this issue, the university has stressed the need for a transparent and accessible system for disseminating admission-related information. The circular instructs all departments to take immediate steps to ensure that comprehensive details about academic programs and fees are displayed prominently.
Departments have been advised to install notice boards or information panels at their entrances and other key locations on campus. Additionally, displaying essential information near the main entrance of the university is expected to improve efficiency and reduce confusion.
