Pune University Extends PhD Research Centre Selection Deadline to 30th November 2024
Pune, 25th November 2024: The PhD admission process at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) now allows students who have been exempted from the PhD Entrance Test (PET), as well as those who have passed the PET, to select their preferred research centre. The deadline for making this selection has been extended to 30th November 2024 due to requests from students.
Exempted students must choose a research centre based on the faculty-wise, subject-wise, and category-wise vacancy details published on the university’s website. The selection process for these students must be completed by 30th November 2024. This extension was granted in response to student demand, particularly due to the recent recognition of some research centres.
It is important to note that once a research centre is selected, it cannot be changed for the first round under any circumstances. Therefore, students are advised to carefully review the available seat details before making their final selection.
