Pune University Final Exams: Mobile Phones Preferred By Maximum Students Over Laptops

Pune, September 15, 2020: Over two lakh students have registered for the final year examinations to be conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) this year, and out of this maximum have applied for online mode of examination. Even out of the 1,85,000 students who have applied for the online examination, 1,10,000 will be answering the examination on their mobile phones.

After the Supreme Court ordered universities to conduct final year examinations, many universities, including the SPPU, have decided to conduct the examination in the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format. Both online and offline modes of examination have been made available to the students, but the university has appealed that maximum students must opt for the online mode, if possible.

While maximum students have already applied for online examinations, with most of them preferring to answer their exam on mobile phones, around 35,000 have also applied for the offline mode of examinations. At the same time, those who have not filled the form to choose their preferred mode of examination will be considered for offline examination.
