Pune, 16th August 20221: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on July 30 to improve public transport services in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.

Accordingly, SPPU has started a survey today to understand the problems of commuters. PMPML will implement the central government’s concept of “Transport for All”.

In order to effective implementation of “Transport for All”, a questionnaire has been prepared by SPPU to know the problems of the public transport system with feedback and suggestions from the public. Questionnaires for the survey have been prepared by various departments of the university.

“The SPPU and PMPML will work together through a hackathon to find solutions to the problems mentioned by people during the survey”, PMPML stated in a press release.

The public transport utility has appealed to women, senior citizens, students, and youth to respond to the survey and express their concerns. SPPU is meeting passengers to get their feedback.
