Pune University Student Who Scored 0 And Was Beaten Up, Now Passes With Flying Colors

Pune, December 4, 2020: Aditya Patil, who was allegedly beaten up by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) security guards for recording inside Examination Director’s cabin has finally got his revised results and passed with flying colors.

Aditya is a BSc Chemistry student of Garware college and has been taking rounds of SPPU since November 21. He had an education loan of Rs 40,000 and had secured admission at the National Institute of Technology (NIT). However, his results showed that he failed despite giving the exam rightly.

But was beaten up for recording inside the Examination Director’s cabin. This has caused agitation against the student activists which led to a protest on November 28, 2020.

Activists from Maharashtra Student Welfare Association, Student Nationalist Congress Party, and Republican Party of India stormed the Vice Chancellor’s office.

After which, Vice-Chancellor Nitin Karmalkar assured to take strict action by December 8 and look into the matter. Finally, on Thursday Aditya’s revised result was declared and he scored 38 out of 40 marks in the Physical chemistry subject in which he was given 0 marks before.

“I have passed with Distinction and secured 78% in total and I have also submitted my document at NIT and confirmed my admission”, Aditya told Punekarnews. in.
