Pune University To Print Degree Certificates, Save Rs 50 Lakhs

Pune, September 1, 2020: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) will print their degree certificates this year. In a recent successful attempt, the Board of Examination and Evaluation developed a secure web-based computer system for processing of data and printing of degree certificates.

These certificates will be given to the students at the 117th graduation ceremony event which will be held in a department on the campus.

In February, under the SSPU Board of Examination and Evaluation, a printing department was set up and was inaugurated on Friday. The new department will be responsible for printing degrees, ledgers, transcripts and mark sheets. The Board of Examination and Evaluation will verify and supervise the printing of the degree certificates.

SPPU officials also said that this move will also help to keep the data and personal details about its students. Taking a step of self-reliance will prove useful as they will save Rs 50 lakh by printing their certificates.
