Pune University To Use Proctored Method For Online Exams; Mock Test To Be Held On April 7

Pune, 18th January 2021: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has decided to conduct the first-semester exam from 10th April 2021. The exam will be held online, and multiple-choice questions (MCQ) will be given to the students. The University has also said that the mock exams would be held on April 7 for students’ benefit.

The University has advised the student not to be afraid of technical error during the exam. If any such incident happens, the University will provide additional time to them. The University has issued a circular in this regard. The detailed time-table will be uploaded on the website on 25th March. Students are also requested to provide a single email ID and phone number to avoid confusion. University will send all details of the examination through SMS and email.

Moreover, suppose the student faces any technical issue during the exam. In that case, the University will provide additional time to them, and the system will save previously solved answers.

In an hour’s exam, 50 correct answers out of 60 will be considered. The Oral, Practical exams, Seminar, Project reports, Dissertation will be held after the written exam. The University will issue separate notifications for colleges in this regard. The proctored method will be used to avoid any fraud during online examination, said Dr. NS Umrani, Pro VC of SPPU.
