Pune: Vaidehi Dattaji Gaikwad Junior College To Be Inaugurated Next Month
Khadki, 23rd August 2023: The construction of the grand and spacious three-storied building of Khadki Education Society’s Vaidehi Dattaji Gaikwad Junior College is nearing completion. Krishna Kumar Goyal, President of Khadki Education society at a press conference along with Dattaji Gaikwad, Vaidehi Gaikwad and Mrs Sainyogita Girme, Vice President of Khadki Education Institute Anil Mehta, Secretary Anand Chhajed, J Secretary Suryabhan Agrawal, Madhukar Tilekar Director and Principal Sarita Nair.
Krishnakumar Goyal said, “The spacious modern new state of art building will be inaugurated next month. This is the only English mediuim junior College in the surrounding area .The three-storied building has a total of 33 spacious classrooms with 11 rooms on each floor,it has fully fuctional IT lab,fully equipped chemistry ,biology and physics labs and spacious library . Dattaji Gaikwad built the premises of very high standard, using high quality materials and furniture. The class room size allows 80 students to sit comfortably in a classroom. The building has two elevators, ample parking and an open space in the middle of the building for student events and activities. This building provides students with very high-quality learning facilities.”
Vaidehi Dattaji Gaikwad Junior College will include 11th and 12th Arts, Commerce and Science education. The institute has been serving children from the underprivileged communities of Dapodi, Bopodi & Khadki area. The aim of the organization is to provide them with safe ,secure and good learning environment.
Principal Sarita Nair said, “Chetan Dattaji Gaikwad English Medium School has completed 16 years. There are currently 1044 students enrolled in this school. The school has a total of 47 staff including 38 teachers, and support staff. This institute provides education right from Nursery to Junior College.
CDGEMS AND JC provides an enthusiastic environment to celebrate learning by developing leadership qualities of students and lays emphasis on information technology and robotics through its STEM program . In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Khadki and Teach for India and various NGOs , a kitchen garden and Weather Station has been installed.
The various school activities held recently include Foundation day celebrations , various competitions, personality development, G20 exhibition, health test, eye examination, distribution of spectacles. Independence Day week was celebrated with great enthusiasm . We have experienced and dedicated teachers .As a result, the school continues with it’s tradition of achieving a 100% HSC AND SSC results every year,” said Nair.
