Pune: Video Emerges of NCP Leader Threatening Officials with Stone in Hand at Manikdoh Dam
Pune, 15th May 2023: Tensions rise over Kukdi project in Junnar taluka as NCP leader Devram Lande confronted officials at Manikdoh Dam. A video capturing the incident has recently emerged, showing Lande warning the officials and Guardian Minister with a stone in his hand. Lande’s aggressive behavior and choice of words have drawn attention to the issue.
The Kukdi project, located in Junnar taluka, holds significance for Pune, Ahmednagar, and Solapur districts, as it consists of a group of five dams. However, the water reserve currently stands at a mere 21 percent. There are concerns that certain ministers from other districts are exerting political pressure to divert water.
A decision has been made to release water in the presence of the Guardian Minister in Pune, leading to protests by leaders from various political parties in Junnar.
Among these protests, the actions of Devram Lande, who resorted to throwing stones during his visit to the Manikdoh Dam, have garnered significant attention. Lande’s aggressive stance and confrontational language have sparked discussions surrounding the movement against the project.
