Kharadi, 22nd June 2026: Shocking videos circulating in connection with the case of self-styled godman Radhamohan Mishra (also known as Radheshyam Mishra or Mishra Baba) depict women devotees washing his feet, with the accused allegedly pouring milk over his feet for the women to drink as part of purported divine rituals. These visuals have emerged amid a major police investigation into allegations of prolonged sexual exploitation, torture, and psychological manipulation at his ashram in Pune’s Kharadi area.

Radhamohan Mishra, a 59-year-old man originally from Haryana, was arrested by Kharadi Police along with seven associates—including his aide Swami Kanwal Nayan (58) and six women followers—earlier this week. The arrests followed a complaint by a woman IT professional (41) who alleged years of abuse inside the “Modern Gurukul” (Gurudev Sadhana Dham Trust) located in Ubale Nagar, Wagholi.

According to police, the victim had been under Mishra’s influence since around 2010–2013. He allegedly presented himself as a divine incarnation or god-like figure, using this claim to exert complete control over her and other followers. The woman accused him of repeated sexual assault and rape, physical torture including electric shocks, forced consumption of his urine as a “spiritual” act, psychological manipulation, isolation from family, and compelling her to divorce her husband. She also alleged financial exploitation involving lakhs of rupees and instances of theft to benefit the ashram.

During a midnight raid on the premises, police discovered a secret underground or bunker-like structure. Authorities seized a large cache of electronic evidence, including eight laptops, 19 hard disks, 10 DVDs, nine mobile phones, 20 cassettes, and 23 pen drives. Investigators suspect these contain compromising videos and material that may point to additional victims.

The case has highlighted concerns over blind faith and exploitation by fake godmen. Followers reportedly viewed Mishra’s actions, including physical beatings, as “blessings.” Police are examining financial records and digital evidence while probing whether more women were victimised through similar tactics of grooming and control under the guise of spirituality.

Mishra and the co-accused have been remanded in police custody. The probe is being conducted under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act. Some of the arrested women have approached the Bombay High Court challenging their detention.

As the investigation continues, officials have appealed for other potential victims to come forward.
