Pune: Vikram Dhakatode Producer Of ‘Tarri’ Film Arrested For Fraud

Hinjawadi, January 15, 2021: Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested Vikram Dhakatode, the producer of the upcoming film ‘Tarri’ for allegedly cheating actor Amol Kagane of Rs 30 lakh.

Dhakatode on the pretext to take Kagane into the film business took Rs 29.55 lakh from him. After realizing this, Kagane lodged a complaint at Hinjewadi police station on Tuesday (January 12). After that, the police took action and arrested Dhaktode from Panvel.

The complainant Kagane is an actor and filmmaker. According to the complaint, Dhakatode took money saying that he had entered into an agreement for the film and even made some films on his name. He also signed an agreement and took the money from the complainant Amol to buy the film and used the same money for other work.

The incident took place between April 2019 and June 22, 2020, in Hinjawadi.

Kagane has produced films like ‘Halal’, ‘Leth Joshi’, ‘Vajvu Ya Band Baja’, ‘Perfume’ and ‘Befam’. He is also in the business of buying and selling movies.
