Pune: Wakad Hotel Owner and Manager Booked For Illegally Selling Liquor

Wakad, 5th April 2024: Amidst preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, authorities in Pune have intensified their crackdown on the illicit sale and transportation of liquor. Recent developments shed light on an operation conducted on Wednesday night (3rd March) at The Mango Tree Bar & Lounge in Kaspate Wasti, Wakad, resulting in the registration of a case against the hotel owner and the driver for their involvement in the unlawful sale of alcohol.

The individuals implicated in this case include hotel manager Pintu Dharmacharan Vishwas, aged 36 and a resident of Wakad, along with hotel owner Ajit Dilawar Inamdar. As per reports, Police Constable Swapnil Khetle lodged a formal complaint at the Wakad Police Station, prompting swift action from law enforcement authorities.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the hotel owner, Inamdar, secretly acquired liquor and gave it to Pintu, who subsequently engaged in the unauthorized sale of alcoholic beverages to acquaintances. Acting upon received intelligence, Wakad Police intervened, seizing contraband valued at Rs. 1 lakh four thousand 580.

Pimpri Chinchwad Police are investigating this matter further.
