Wakad, 17th November 2025: Residents of Anshul Casa Society in Wakad’s Kaspate Wasti area in Pimpri Chinchwad have raised serious concerns over a rapidly deteriorating safety situation outside their main gate, alleging that the builder’s ongoing construction activity has dangerously narrowed the internal approach road.

According to the residents, construction material and temporary structures have been occupying the road space for months, reducing the carriageway to the point where two-way vehicle movement has become extremely difficult. The current arrangement, they say, is not in line with the approved project layout.

Residents report daily traffic congestion, unsafe commuting conditions and an increased risk of collisions due to a newly created blind spot near the society’s main gate. The situation is particularly hazardous for schoolchildren, senior citizens and two-wheeler riders navigating the stretch during peak hours.

With more than 1,000 residents living across over 200 flats in Anshul Casa Society, the restricted road width has turned into a major safety concern. Several near-miss incidents have already been reported, with residents fearing that a serious accident is imminent if corrective measures are not implemented immediately.

Despite repeated complaints, residents claim the builder has not taken any steps to restore the original road width or address the blind spot. They have appealed for urgent intervention.

Residents are requesting that:
• The road be restored as per the approved project layout.
• Separate entry and exit routes be created to ease congestion.
• The blind spot near the gate be eliminated through proper realignment or safety installations.
• PCMC authorities take swift action to safeguard commuters and residents.
