Pune, 14th August 2023: Labourers are the unsung heroes, the real backbone of any construction industry. City based Suroj Buildcon has always recognized them as the driving force behind every project. To formalize this recognition on the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day will unveil its ‘Wall of Honour’, a one of its kind initiative at every construction site.

‘The Wall of Honour’ will have the name of every labourer who worked on that project etched on it for eternity. Labourers help in infrastructure development indirectly contributing to shaping India and what better way than applauding their efforts on India’s Independence Day. Suroj Buildcon aims at taking this initiative to every project across the length and breadth of the country.

Speaking about the initiative Sachin Biyani, Managing Director, Suroj Buildcon said, “Suroj Buildcon has always recognized the efforts of every individual who exhibits utmost dedication. We are happy to be able to applaud the role of all our labourers who are true contributors in strengthening the Infrastructure Fabric of India by dedicating a ‘Wall of Honour’ for their unforgettable effort and ensuring it remains so forever.”

“Currently we are building over 20 projects that are primarily industrial factory buildings in various states like Maharashtra, Karnatak, Gujarat, Haryana, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Names of over 4000 construction workers shall be mentioned on these Wall of Honour at the respective construction site”, he added.

A film has been created to celebrate their achievements through a poignant narration. More often than not, the labourers are unacknowledged even though they display an unwavering commitment to bring someone else’s dream to life. The film also captures the feeling of pride and unbridled joy of the labourers upon seeing the ‘Wall of Honour’

Conceptualized by Velocita Brand Consultants, the ‘Wall of Honour’ initiative is a movement rather than a one-off campaign. The hope is that this initiative will inspire the industry to take notice and encourage them to start acknowledging the real unsung heroes behind a successful project.
