Pimpri Chinchwad, 21st June 2023: Residents residing in Park Royale Co-operative Housing Society Ltd, located in Rahatani, are facing an ongoing water shortage problem, leading to significant difficulties in their daily lives.

A concerned member of the housing society expressed their grievances, stating, “Despite paying our taxes diligently, we are forced to bear the financial burden of arranging water tankers frequently. This has resulted in substantial expenses for us. Unfortunately, our water supply remains inadequate.”

Another member of the society added, “We receive a mere 3 lakh liters of water supply every alternate day, which is grossly insufficient considering the high demand within our community. We have already made several appeals to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to address this issue urgently.”

Responding to the concerns, Shrikant Savne, the Joint City Engineer (Civil) from the Water Supply Department, shed light on the situation. “Due to the delayed monsoon, the water levels in the dam have reduced, compelling us to implement water supply cuts every Thursday. We earnestly request citizens to utilize water judiciously during this challenging period.”

Savne further assured the residents that the PCMC is actively working to identify an effective solution to mitigate the water shortage crisis in the area.

The residents of Park Royale Society anxiously await prompt action from the authorities, hoping for an early resolution to their long-standing water supply woes.
