Pune Water Supply To Be Shut In Several Areas On Thursday
Pune, 24th August 2026: Water supply will remain suspended in several parts of Pune, including areas in western Pune, on Thursday (August 27) due to scheduled maintenance and repair work at the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Parvati Water Treatment Plant.
According to the PMC Water Supply Department, maintenance work involving water pipelines, pumping systems and electrical infrastructure will be carried out on Thursday. As a result, several areas supplied by different water centres will not receive water that day. Water supply in these areas is expected to resume at low pressure on Friday (August 28).
The affected areas include Pashan and Sus Gol Tank areas, Karve Nagar, parts under the Old Warje Water Centre and Kondhwa-Dhawade Water Centre.
Several areas in Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibwewadi, Maharshinagar, Upper Indiranagar, Giridhar Bhavan, Thackeray Vasahat and Kondhwa Khurd will also be affected.
Areas supplied under the Bhama Askhed water project, including Lohgaon, Kalyani Nagar, Dhanori, Viman Nagar, Tingre Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Kharadi, Yerawada and Phulenagar, will also face a water supply shutdown.
Under the SNDT Water Centre, affected areas include Aundh, Bopodi, Gokhalenagar, Baner Road, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Law College Road, Bhoslenagar, Senapati Bapat Road, Bhandarkar Road, Prabhat Road, Paud Road, Karishma Society, Mayur Colony, Karve Road, Navsahyadri, Tathawade Udyan, the Dashbhuja Ganpati to Nal Stop stretch and areas around the Pashan storage tank near Chandni Chowk.
Other affected areas include Bhugaon Road, Bavdhan, both parts of Bhusari Colony, Someshwarwadi, Sutarwadi, Pashan and Sus Road.
The shutdown will also affect areas supplied through the Pan Card Road network, including Baner, Balewadi, Baner Gaothan, Pancard Club Road and surrounding areas.
In addition, Mula Road, Khadki, Khadki Cantonment, the High Explosives Factory area, Ambegaon Khurd and Ambegaon Budruk, Rajash Society, Sukhsagar Nagar, Katraj Gaothan, Dattanagar, Balajinagar, Wonder City, Varkhadenagar and Yewalewadi are expected to face the disruption.
The PMC has advised residents in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements for water in advance, as supply is likely to remain unavailable on Thursday and may be at low pressure on Friday.
