Pune Water Supply to Remain Shut for 24 Hours on September 10; Check Affected Areas
Pune, 8th September 2026: Water supply will remain suspended across large parts of Pune on Thursday, September 10, as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) undertakes electrical, pumping and structural maintenance at several water-treatment plants and distribution facilities.
According to a press note issued by the PMC’s Water Supply Department, maintenance will be carried out at facilities including the Parvati Water Treatment Plant and its HLR zone, Bhama Askhed Jackwell, Warje Water Treatment Plant, SNDT HLR, Chandni Chowk tank, Gandhi Bhavan tank, Pankaj Club GSR, Warje GSR, Pashan and Sus tanks, Chatushrungi tank, the old Warje waterworks, the old and new Holkar waterworks, Kondhwe-Dhawade waterworks and Wadgaon waterworks.
The civic body said water supply would remain shut for 24 hours, from midnight on Wednesday, September 9, until midnight on Thursday, September 10.
The shutdown will affect numerous residential and commercial areas, including parts of Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibwewadi, Mukundnagar, Maharshi Nagar, Gangadham, Parvati, Shivajinagar, Gokhalenagar, Aundh, Bopodi, Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sus, Bavdhan, Kothrud, Karvenagar, Warje, Sinhagad Road, Dhayari, Ambegaon, Narhe and adjoining localities.
Areas supplied through the Lashkar water-distribution system and several neighbourhoods served by the Parvati, SNDT, Chandni Chowk, Gandhi Bhavan, Pankaj Club, Warje, Pashan, Sus, Holkar and Wadgaon facilities will also be affected.
The PMC cautioned that water supply on Friday, September 11, could begin later than usual and may be available at low pressure. Residents have been advised to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the shutdown.
The Water Supply Department has sought residents’ cooperation while the essential maintenance work is completed.
