Pune Weather Update: IMD Predicts Cloudy Skies with Continued Rains Through Next Week
Pune, 3rd July 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rain across Pune and its surrounding areas over the next several days. According to the latest bulletin, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places, especially in the ghat regions.
The maximum temperatures in Pune are projected to hover between 26°C and 30°C, while minimum temperatures will range from 20°C to 24°C through July 9. Areas including Pashan, Lohegaon, Chinchwad, Lavale, Magarpatta, NDA, and Koregaon Park are all expected to experience similar weather patterns.
Rainfall is likely to remain steady from July 3 to July 6, with light to moderate showers continuing and the potential for heavy to very heavy downpours in hilly and ghat areas. From July 7 onward, lighter rain is expected to persist, but the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall in the ghats cannot be ruled out.
The IMD has advised residents and commuters, especially those traveling through ghat regions, to exercise caution due to the risk of intense rainfall and associated hazards such as waterlogging or minor landslides.
