Pune Weather Update: Stable Temperatures, Cool Nights Expected Till Month-End

Pune, 26th February 2026: Residents of Pune can look forward to a stretch of stable, pleasant weather as we close out February. According to the latest local forecast from the India Meteorological Department, Pune and its surrounding neighborhoods will enjoy mainly clear skies starting today, February 26th, and continuing through the end of the month. The main city will experience warm afternoons with daytime highs settling around 33°C to 34°C, while the evenings and early mornings will remain comfortably cool, with minimum temperatures dipping to between 15°C and 16°C.

Detailed Forecast for Pune & Neighbourhoods (Feb 26 – Feb 29)

While the main city enjoys clear skies, temperature variations are expected across different pockets of the city today:
Coolest Nights: The National Defence Academy (NDA) area will experience the coolest nights, with minimum temperatures dropping to 14°C today and 13°C by the weekend.

Warmer Pockets: Magarpatta and Koregaon Park will see slightly warmer nights, with minimums hovering around 20°C to 21°C today.

Daytime Highs: Most neighborhoods, including Lohegaon, Pashan, and Chinchwad, will experience consistent maximum daytime temperatures of 33°C to 34°C over the coming days.

Outlook: The IMD predicts zero cloud cover for the rest of the week, a pleasant shift from the partly cloudy conditions experienced earlier in the week.

Vidarbha Region to See Partly Cloudy Skies and Rising Heat
In sharp contrast to Pune’s clear skies, the districts of Vidarbha are forecast to experience predominantly partly cloudy conditions from today through March 4th.

Data released by the Regional Meteorological Centre in Nagpur highlights a gradual warming trend across the region:
Current Hotspots (Feb 26): Amravati and Akola are currently the warmest districts, both recording maximum temperatures of 36°C today. Chandrapur follows closely at 35°C.

Rising Temperatures: The heat is expected to intensify next week. By March 3rd and 4th, Akola’s maximum temperature is projected to surge to 39°C, while Amravati will reach 38°C.

Nagpur & Surrounding Districts: Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, and Gondia are experiencing slightly milder daytime highs today, ranging between 33°C and 34°C. Gondia recorded the coolest night in the region today at 15°C.
