Pune: WhatsApp Group Admin Assaulted By Five Persons For Removing One Of Them From Group, Tongue Cut In Attack
Fursungi, 3rd January 2022: Five people brutally beat up WhatsApp group admin after an altercation after removing them from the WhatsApp group created by the members of the housing society. His tongue has been cut off in the beating. The tongue has been stitched, but he is injured.
The incident happened in the Fursungi area of Pune on 28th December 2022 at around 10 pm. A 38-year-old woman has filed a complaint at Hadapsar police station. A case has been registered against five residents of Om Heights housing society.
According to the information given by the police, the complainant is the chairperson of the housing society. The complainant’s husband had created a WhatsApp group of people living in the society called ‘Om Heights Operation’. The complainant’s husband was the admin of this group.
Meanwhile, the complainant’s husband removed one accused from the group. He was angry about this and sent a message to the complainant’s husband on WhatsApp asking why he was removed from the group. But, the husband of the complainant did not reply to him either. The accused then called him saying that he wanted to meet him.
The accused came to the office when the complainant and her husband were present there. Five people beat up the complainant’s husband when he said that the group was deleted because people were sending random messages on it.
The tongue of the complainant’s husband was cut and he sustained serious injuries as a result of punching his face. Police are conducting further investigation.
