In the first week of January, he met the state’s Advocate General Birendra Saraf. In this meeting, he apprised the Advocate General about the government’s position regarding Bhide Wada. Also, the Guardian Minister requested the Advocate General to present the position of the government effectively in this regard in the High Court.

After that, Patil held a detailed discussion at his residence in Pune with Vijay Dhere, Chairman of Poona Merchant Bank, the original owner of the land, to resolve the dispute regarding Bhide Wada at an early stage.

Considering the historical importance of Bhide Wada, it is important to have a national monument there. As this memorial will be a source of inspiration for women not in the state but in the country, the Guardian Minister appealed to Poona Merchant Bank to take a role of cooperation. Responding positively to the Guardian Minister’s call, Dhere assured to discuss with all the members of the bank and tenants and take a cooperative role.
