Pune- WNS (Phursungi) was immediately shut after ‘symptoms’ of Coronavirus on floor

5 March 2020, Pune : Phursungi unit of WNS was immediately shut on Thursday night after one of their employee returned from Philippines via Singapore airlines had some symptoms of flu.

In the backdrop of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, as a precautionary measure the company officials evacuated all the 150 employees of the floor immediately and sent them home. The floor was sanitized and the employee having flu symptoms was referred to hospital for check up.

Till date, 65 thousand 121 travellers arriving at Mumbai International Airport by 551 Airbuses had undergone thermal scanning. 401 passengers arrived in the state from the Corona affected countries. Out of these, 152 patients admitted to various hospitals and they were tested twice, for the Corona virus. The laboratory reports of 149 people were found negative. 143 were released from the hospitals. Presently six people are kept under observation. Two in Naidu and Mangeshkar hospitals in Pune are under observation while four others at Kasturba and Hinduja hospitals in Mumbai.
