Pune: Woman Dies Due to Delayed Treatment; Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Orders Probe

Pune, 4th April 2025: The tragic death of Tanisha Bhise due to alleged delayed medical treatment at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital has sparked outrage, prompting Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to order a high-level inquiry into the matter.
Calling the incident “deeply unfortunate,” Pawar has directed a committee of expert doctors to investigate the circumstances leading to Bhise’s death. He has also sought a detailed report from the Pune District Magistrate, emphasizing the need for a transparent and impartial probe.
“The government has taken serious note of this case. The Health Department has been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure strict action against those found responsible,” said Pawar.
The incident has led to protests from individuals, institutions, and organizations demanding accountability. While the hospital administration has shared its perspective with the media, the government has assured a fair and independent inquiry before making any conclusions.
“We understand the anger and grief of the people. Strict action will be taken as per the law if any negligence is found,” Pawar added. He also directed the administration to implement preventive measures to avoid similar tragedies in the future.
Appealing for calm and cooperation, Pawar urged citizens to allow the investigation to proceed without disruption.
