Pune: Woman Doctor Dies After Falling From Ravet Residential Building; Police Probe Underway

Ravet, 4th July 2026: A woman doctor employed at a well-known private hospital in Thergaon died after allegedly falling from a residential building in Ravet on Friday. Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Dr. Shweta Rokde, who was residing in a rented apartment with two friends at Celestial City Society in Ravet, Pimpri Chinchwad.

According to Senior Police Inspector Rishikesh Ghadge of Ravet Police Station (Pimpri Chinchwad Police), officers reached the housing society after receiving information about the incident. Dr. Rokde was found with critical injuries and was rushed to the District Hospital in Aundh for emergency medical care. However, she was declared dead on arrival.

Police have informed her family, and her body has been sent for the necessary medico-legal procedures.

Officials said the exact cause and circumstances leading to the incident have not yet been established. Investigators are examining all possible angles, including whether it was a case of suicide or whether any other factors may have contributed to her death.

Further investigation is being carried out by the Ravet Police.
