Pune: Woman Electrocuted Near Amar Tech Park in Balewadi
Balewadi, 6th June 2024: A tragic incident took place in Balewadi as a woman was fatally electrocuted in front of Amar Tech Park. The circumstances surrounding her death point to administrative negligence, yet no entity has claimed responsibility for the accident.
The unfortunate loss of life is attributed to multiple administrative oversights, involving various bodies such as the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Electricity Department, the Smart City project, MahaMetro, and Mahavitaran.
Initial findings indicate that metro authorities removed a Smart City electrical pole from the area without prior notification. Regrettably, the power cable connected to this pole remained live, resulting in the fatal electrocution.
