Pune: Woman Reported Missing from Khandala Railway Station; Family Appeals for Help
Pune, 7th September 2026: A 42-year-old woman has been reported missing after she was last seen at Khandala railway station in Pune district on August 30.
The missing woman has been identified as Laxmi Satish Bachate. According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered by Pune Government Railway Police and a notice issued by her family, she was last seen at approximately 1:40 p.m. near Platform No. 3 of Khandala railway station. CCTV footage reportedly showed her at the station and later entering a railway coach.
After being unable to locate her despite searching the station, nearby markets and surrounding areas, her family approached the Pune Railway Police. An FIR, numbered 0631/2026, was registered on September 2 under Sections 137(1)(b) and 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Laxmi is approximately 4 feet 8 inches tall, has a fair complexion and a slim build, and has black-and-grey hair of medium length. She speaks Marathi and Hindi. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a pink-and-white striped top and yellow pyjama trousers.
Her family has appealed to railway passengers, local residents and members of the public to provide any information that could help locate her. A suitable reward has also been announced for anyone providing reliable information leading to her safe return.
