Pune: Young Man Who Jumped Into Water To Save His Friend Swept Away; Search Operation Will Continue Tomorrow

Pimpri Chinchwad, 25th August 2022: Shocking incident has taken place at Akurdi when some college students went for a walk in the area and a young man who jumped into the water to save his friend was washed away. The name of the youth is Rajkumar Jaiswal while Afraj Shaikh survived the incident.

Some students went for a walk at Kund Mala. At that time Shaikh slipped and fell into the water. His friend Jaiswal jumped into the water to save him. Shaikh, who fell, was standing holding the stone, but Jaiswal, who went to save him, was swept away.

After getting information, Bajrang Dal and wildlife guards from the Maval organization came to the spot. They managed to save Shaikh. Disaster management teams also arrived to find Rajkumar. The team and the local citizens searched till 6 pm, but Rajkumar could not be found.

The search operation had to be stopped due to darkness. The search operation will be started again tomorrow.
