Pune: Youth Arrested For Cheating In Police Recruitment Exam Using Hidden Electronic Gadget

Pune, 18th October 2021: Swargate police have arrested a candidate for cheating in the written test of the Government Railway Police (GRP) exam through an electronic gadget. He was talking to a friend through a gadget and writing down the answer to the question.

The arrested accused has been identified as Jeevan Fundusingh Gunasinghe, a resident of Vaijapur, Aurangabad.

According to the police, there was a written test on Sunday for railway police recruitment. Gunasinghe was allotted Kataria High School in Gultekdi for the exam. In the afternoon he went to the examination centre and told the invigilators that he had no belongings nearby.

But while asking the question to his friend and getting the answer from him, he was found red-handed with the device. The gadget was confiscated by the police and he was arrested. It is an electronic device that has the facility to make calls by inserting a SIM card.

The matter is being investigated by the Police Sub-Inspector Hanumant Bhosale.
