Pune: Youth Attempts To Throw Acid-Like Liquid On Minor Girl Over One-Sided Love
Shivajinagar, 31st January 2023: A shocking incident has come to light where a young man is accused of attempting to throw an acid-like liquid on a minor girl who lived in his neighborhood because of one-sided love.
The said incident happened on Sunday (January 29) near Maruti Mandir in the Wadarwadi area of Pune. A complaint has been registered against the youth at the Chaturshringi police station.
The accused has been identified as Akshay Raju Chavan (24). A 38-year-old woman has lodged a complaint at the Chaturshringi police station in this regard.
Reportedly, Chavan used to stalk the minor daughter of the complainant. He allegedly threatened her to go on a walk with him and have physical relations. He also molested the minor by touching her private parts. When the girl refused to go with him, he attempted to throw an acid-like liquid at her.
Assistant Police Inspector Gaikwad is conducting further investigation in this regard.
