Pisoli, 9th August 2026: The waterlogging issue at Khadi Machine Chowk on Katraj–Kondhwa Road has been cleared following a Punekar News report highlighting the difficulties faced by residents and commuters.

The stretch had been experiencing water accumulation for nearly 10 days during the ongoing monsoon. The affected area is now clear, with no waterlogging observed at the spot.

Residents had repeatedly raised concerns over the recurring problem, which has surfaced almost every monsoon and causes inconvenience to motorists, pedestrians and daily commuters.

Tehseen Teerandaz, a resident of Pisoli, thanked Punekar News for highlighting the issue and bringing residents’ concerns to the attention of the authorities.

“Thank you, Punekar News, for consistently highlighting the Katraj–Kondhwa waterlogging issue and, more importantly, the problems faced by ordinary citizens. Such journalism gives a voice to people whose concerns often go unheard. We hope this focus continues for the long term and that these issues receive the attention and action they deserve,” Teerandaz said.

Vijay Dagade, chairman of Padmavathi Pratishthan, Pisoli, also welcomed the resolution and urged civic authorities to ensure that the problem does not recur during the remaining monsoon.

Residents, however, said that while the immediate waterlogging has been cleared, a permanent drainage solution is needed, as the problem has repeatedly resurfaced during heavy rainfall.
