Pune, October 20, 2020: Official signs and boards are supposed to be serious, but not in Pune. The messages on ‘Puneri Patya’ or typical signages are meant to be sarcastic. These boards are written in Marathi with a blend of a dry sense of humour and sarcasm.

Well, one of its kind posters claiming a bus stop in front of Devaki Palace on BT Kawade road stolen has gone viral on social media like wildfire. This ‘Patya’ also claims to give a prize of Rs 5,000 to the seeker.

The viral photo was shared by a Reddit user @Sudhackar, who said, “Someone stole a freaking bus stop near my place”. Following which, netizen @joleneann123 took it to Twitter and said, “Lols. Entire bus stop stolen in Pune”.

“If he’d traded that with bakarwadis I wouldn’t even complain”, replied a user on Reddit. While another user said, “Some other politician probably did corruption and showed they built a bus stop at that place. Now, this guy is calling it out by saying the bus stop was ‘stolen’. I think there is a similar Marathi movie where the guy goes to court because his well was ‘stolen’.”

Many netizens have seen the incident with amusement, while others have expressed their anger. Some have even mentioned old incidents. As per the banner, NCP corporator Prashant Mhaske has put up this poster.
