Pimple Nilakh, 2nd October 2023: Durga Puja, also known as Durgotsava or Sharodotsav, is an annual festival celebrated across the Indian subcontinent. The festival honors the Hindu goddess Durga and commemorates her victory over Mahishasura.

Recognized worldwide, the festival has been included in UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It is celebrated with scripture recitations, performance arts, revelry, gift-giving, family visits, feasting, and public processions. More than just a festival, Durga Puja is an emotion that brings people together.

Upholding this sentiment is Aagomoni Prabasi Sangha, a Pune-based socio-cultural organization dedicated to cultural, sports, literary, and charitable activities. They are hosting the largest Durga Puja celebration in the PCMC (Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation) area of Pune at the front space of Hotel 7/12 near 25k Atria society on New DP Road in Pimple Nilakh. The celebrations will be held from October 19 to 24, 2023.
