Pune’s Dr. Shilpa Dane crowned ‘Mrs Maharashtra Beautiful Skin 2019’
20 DECEMBER 2019- Dr. Shilpa Dane, a doctor and a singer from Pune was crowned as ‘Mrs Maharashtra – Empress of Maharashtra 2019 Beautiful Skin’ at the DIVA Pageants event held last fortnight at Hyatt Pune. This was the pageant’s 4th season, which is the brainchild of Anjana and Karl Mascarenhas. “I owe my beautiful skin to the love that resides in my heart, my son, Dev and of course to my genes”, beams the gorgeous Shilpa. There were 50 finalists in the pageant out of the 400 women who had auditioned.
Having done her MBBS, MD, DNB in Family Medicine, Dr. Shilpa Dane is a practising Doctor as well as an accomplished Singer. In fact, she had done a few songs and videos for T-series in the past, including the popular ‘Aaika Daajiba’ Remix to her credit.
“An aunt told me about DIVA Pageants and I was inspired to participate in this exciting contest, and I went ahead and enrolled. It was a new experience for me, to do something other than my medical practise. The four days leading to the finale that were spent with Anjana mam, Karl sir and the other 49 contestants was a life-changing experience. One gets to learn so much, meet so many wonderful women and mothers, many who left their homes and their kids and stayed at Hyatt for a reason, woman with various scales of confidence levels and beauty but all strong, talented and focused and enjoying what they are doing”, smiles Shilpa.
Famous stars and personalities comprised the elite Jury : Varsha Usgaonkar (Actress), Zoya Afroz (Actress), Dr Viral Desai (Hair Transplant maestro), Dr Suhani Mendonsa (Director, Yellow Spider events), Rachna Gupta (International DIVA Queen), Kamal Sharma (DOSM, Hyatt Pune) and Karl Mascarenhas (Director, DIVA). Gulshan Grover, the internationally acclaimed Star added his unique aura to the Show!
Shilpa wants to give a message to all women to believe in themselves and move ahead in life, even if married and having kids. She is a social worker too, helping various individuals and organisations.
After winning this crown now, Shilpa is now all set to inspire other woman around the globe by sharing her journey from T-series to becoming a doctor to participating in the Mrs Maharashtra pageant and now releasing her new Music Album very soon in 2020.
